If you have a cataract in one eye, you will probably have it in the other eye

Cataracts are a condition wherein the lens of the eye becomes cloudy and thus inhibits the ability to see clearly. The decision to replace the cloudy lens with an artificial lens depends on how much this change in vision impacts your daily life. If a doctor detects a cataract in one eye, it will most likely develop in the other eye at some point. Cataracts develop slowly and the progression may differ from one eye to the other. Patients may decide to wait to operate on the second eye until vision becomes impaired.
